Konzert "Drum Ecstasy"

Drum Ecstasy are one of the stars of the underground music scene in Belarus. A quartet of 3 drummers and 1 bassplayer who play propulsive polyrhythmic anthems bedded in dark, sub-industrial low-end smear; they have been a fixture on the club scene for a number of years.

Drum ecstasy существует с 1993 года. играет в альтернативных и танцевальных клубах, так же в больших шоу и на презентациях. Любят участвовать в нелегальных пати и ежегодно проводят нелегальный концерт под мостом с кострами и пиротехникой.

Состав:

Филипп Чмырь - 1968г.р. Играл в группе "Белорусский климат", имеет несколько сольных проектов. Концертирует с 1986г. В 1996г. стал призёром конкурса альтернативной музыки "Give The Way" Фонда Сороса. Работает в рекламном агентстве "FORTE affiliated office of GREY" исполнительным продюсером "Below the line" и нетрадиционных рекламных мероприятий.

Александр Кравцов (Рыжий) - 1972г.р. Играл в школьном духовом оркестре, группах: "Белорусский климат", "Septic Shizo", "FTTF". Работает техническим директором шоу программ и массовых мероприятий.

Александр Горох - 1978г.р. Закончил Белорусскую академию музыки. Играл в группе "Znich". Работал в симфоническом оркестре Белорусского государственного театра оперы и балета. В данный момент работает в симфоническом оркестре Белорусского государственного театра оперетты.

Степан Битус - 1981г.р. Закончил Белорусскую академию музыки. Играл в панк группе. Работал в президентском оркестре Республики Беларусь. Работает преподавателем в педагогическом университете им. М.Танка и в оркестре Белорусского Музыкального театра.

Drum Ecstasy is a live band that plays heavy dance music using various bass guitar sounds, supported by a massive background of three and more drummers. In some compositions electric drills and saws noises and sound effects are used. In average Drum Ecstasy performance lasts 40-90 minutes, often slides and videos are shown as well.

There is also another way of sounding (European percussion instruments + industrial percussion). This variant is often used during shows and presentations.

For big shows 2 additional drummers with 18" and 20" + percussion drums are invited. Not fewer than 4 members of the band play drums simultaneously. The other two musicians use electrical saws, electrical drills, carbon-dioxide fire extinguishers, barrels, car discs and other industrial junk (which can be found at the nearby junk yards beforehand) besides the drums. During performances with flags, one of them works with a flag (traditional Italian technique) and another with a searchlight.
